September 2008
We have been really busy this month. It's been Will and Sarah Pierce's first full month of school and there has been so much going on both places. Will started soccer and Sarah Pierce started gymnastics with Ms. Vicki (who I also took gym from). I have also gotten a job tutoring at Poplar Springs everyday for 2 1/2 hours(thank you Lord!). Chris and I went to Starkville to visit Sarah and Ben and Davis a couple of weeks ago and got to go to the State/ Auburn game (too bad we lost!). We had a great time and also got to meet Aunt Sissy's new bulldog puppy "Jo Bear". The weather has really been great lately and we're looking forward to cooler (not too cold) weather in the near future.

Labor Day Beach Trip
It was our last family beach trip for the summer. We had so much fun and the weather was beautiful! It was hard for us to believe that Hurricane Gustav was way out in the gulf while we were there. The hurricane cut our trip short one day, but we still had a great time. The beach is always my favorite vacation spot. I love it! The sun, the sand, the water. Thank you God for creating such beautiful places for our family and others to enjoy!

School Days
Wow! I can't believe summer is coming to an end and the kids have both started school! It has been a busy last several weeks. We've either had company or have been out of town so much! We had family over for a birthday party for Will, went on a last minute beach trip to Dauphin Island with Uncle Ben and Aunt Sarah and Davis and some other friends, and also went to New Orleans to visit Papaw and Tricia and went on a swamp tour! Whew! I'm excited that we still have a family beach trip planned for Labor Day.:-)
Sarah Pierce started preschool for the first time and Will is now in the First Grade. It's hard to believe they're growing up so fast. I'm so thankful I'm able to watch it happen!!

Getting Settled
We've been back in Meridian for about a month now and we've almost gotten our house the way we want it(thanks Rah-Rah for all you've done!). It's different being back, but great! We miss our friends in Kansas, but are so glad to be able to be with our friends and family here. Thank goodness Chris is home too and he has some time off before he starts his rotations.
These past few weeks have definitely been busy. We had a family birthday party for Will and our cousins were able to be there too! (Hilary, Elizabeth Grace, Aunt Kakie, Aunt Sarah, Uncle Ben and Davis). The kids and I have been swimming a lot and we went to Geyser Falls for the 4th of July.
We're having a great summer and it's not over yet!

We're back in MS
We've made it back and now we're just unpacking and getting settled. Chris went back to Kansas City to finish up his summer classes and I'm so ready for him to be here! We love our house and neighborhood (only minutes from Rah-Rah and Nannie and PaPa). It's so nice to be closer to family and friends again. Hopefully it won't take us too much longer to get the house together. I know with my mom's help (thank goodness for her)we can do it!:)

It's Almost Moving Day!
You would think that packing up our house would be enough for our family to do this week. LOL! We thought we'd cram as much into our last week here as we could (swimming, an early birthday party for Will, and a Royals baseball game). Will doesn't turn 6 until July 19th (hard to believe), but he wanted to have a swimming party with all his buddies from school and baseball before we left. We haven't been to a Royals game yet this season and it was "T-shirt Tuesday" (free shirts:)) so we figured we'd go! Packing is going well, but there's still a lot to do between now and Saturday. Our "professional movers" (Papa and Sissy and Papaw) arrive today and tomorrow. Thank heavens for them!!
We've definitely enjoyed our two years here in Kansas, but it's time to make our move.:) Mississippi here we come!!

About Me
- Linds
- I have been married to Chris for 9 years. We have two children, Will 6, and Sarah Pierce 3. I started staying at home with Will after he was born and couldn't love a job more. I definitely have days where I want to pull my hair out or close myself into my closet, but I feel so blessed to have been able to do this. We moved back to our hometown Meridian, MS at the very end of June. Chris starts his 3rd year of medical school doing his clinical rotations at Rush hospital on Sept. 2nd. We are so thankful that God allowed us to come back here and be close to our families and old friends again. We're looking forward to what's in store for us next!
